So many sayings ...and variations of sayings.  "Fool me once ...shame on you!" "Fool me twice ...shame on me!"  "Fool me three times ...you may think you own me, but don't take too much for granted. You may not have fooled me ...it may just be on you."  (Okay, whatever that means ...guess it could be many things.)

Most of you have seen at least one of the many memes which say something like:

Well, this is a challenge: What really is this ancient structure?
(Hint: Often the problem is, that we only look at what is there ...and not at what was perhaps once there.)

Answer: It can be traced back to an ancient tribe of cannibals.

The left side of the structure is missing.

It was a place where they religiously gathered to eat.

Yes, the left side was a duplicate of the right side.

They ate just about anything, yet their specialty was:

Leg McMuffin

 Hick'n McDigits

Curly Flies

& Filet-O-Fits

One day the cook proudly displayed a sign that read:

'One Million Served'

But then he realized he was the only one left.  Yes, you guessed it ...everyone referred to him as, Big Mac.

(Sorry ...that wasn't funny, yet all you evolutionists have no case for argument. Without God, there are no standards to speak of ...the only claim to the past would be 'survival of the fittest'.  And it is your theory, not mine.  I believe God created us civilized, giving us direction on how to act.)

There is a fine line between that which is considered civilized, and that which is not. There are on occasion, exemplary individuals who live in a very uncivilized society ...and there are often very uncivilized people who live within a society that most people would hope to call civilized.

Sadly, it seems to take a long time to convince a rather uncivilized group to become civilized, but a civilized group on occasion can become uncivilized rather quickly ...and I'm not talking about through a drunken condition.  I'm speaking of ideologies that have a rapid rise through those who attempt to incite and manipulate emotions ...birthed through discontentment, present prejudices, or hidden and often undetected deep-seated bitterness or anger.

A person referred to as the 'SpaceX leader' says that within 100 years we could colonize Mars with one million people. The article says it would take 10,000 flights. That would be within the time frame of Stephen Hawking's warning that we need to evacuate Earth by the year 2100. Perhaps if they are ahead of schedule, they could do rescue missions to Earth, to save as many people as they can ...and the people already on Mars, as was suggested in the article, could go 'planet hopping' to find new potential colony sites. The plan, admittedly will be expensive, but we could help pay for it by doubling the amount of solar panels on the wall between the U.S. and Mexico ...and perhaps also suggest it to the Chinese, for the Great Wall. But, we have to be careful that Russia doesn't interfere. Also, since only the filthy rich could afford the best living arrangements on Mars, they would need designated 'workers'. (Not slave labor, but indentured servants.) You have to agree that the Earth is unstable, and would have to put in writing that you are grateful to work for these rich people who are willing to take you along to save your life. But, you have to be more than just a hard worker ...you have to be stupid too, to go along with this. Unless a bunch of you are real smart, and once on Mars, you could stage an overthrow of the society there. You have to be confident that you'd succeed though ...or you may find yourself behind Mars bars.  Unless you escape ...but you'll always be on the run, with no safe place within the Milky Way.  If you get as far as Saturn, give me a ring ...maybe I can help plan a revolution, but for Saturn that would take over 29 years.

I've read that they are selecting (by qualification ...likely money??) the 50 men and 50 women who they are going to take on the first mission.  They could paint over a scrubbed Soviet module ...and cheaply fly their 'Mars One' mission to crash in North Korea. Their hoax would be safe ...because any survivors, wouldn't be. Of course, after they collect your millions of dollars for the mission they could tape a joyous celebration of the landing ...sound only, as they could claim they had problems with the video portion.  Every three days a spaceship would have to take off carrying 100 people ...and if they each had to pay a million dollars apiece, that would be 100,000,000 dollars per flight.  And if my figures are correct, that would be 12 billion per year.

Oh, forget it ...the government is much more efficient with ripping us off.  Instead of 'Mars One', let's stick with the Interspace Rocket Ship (IRS) ...or let them do the sticking.

Not trying to give you a history lesson ...but, I was just reflecting. It was 40 years ago that I graduated from college. I had to take four college requirement classes that I remember.
One was American Thought and Literature ...and there were some strange things I had to read. Today, I just watch the national news.
Another class was Social Studies ...and I thought parts of that were interesting, when I heard some professors tell of how tricky (or deceitful) our government was. Today, that doesn't excite me ...as it is rather commonplace.

The other two classes were Natural Science, and Math. I was good at Math, so my interest seemed to translate into Natural Science ...to watch it all add up.

We studied 'Evolution' ...and I found it very interesting, until I concluded that it is not compatible with what God reveals to us in the Bible. I know some people feel it is compatible, but like I said, with my math brain, it just doesn't add up.

If one believes our world began with animals, and no humans ...can we humanly say we are more civilized today, when the bragging rights for 'most civilized' is tainted largely by rising intellects who argue the case for less civilized behavior?

Yes, we should treat animals well ...but that is not the same as defending those very aspirations. If you believe we evolved, then you'd also have to admit there are periods of de-evolution, and theoretically cockroaches and viruses could be dominant. (Or a computer virus, and one who smokes a roach.)

I believe that a slight backward direction is not de-evolution, but sin. And more accurately devil-lution. Without God, what spirit fills us with hopelessness and lies?? Hopelessness elevates the celebration of participation in violent activism. It may begin as an agreed upon point, but then it needs to shout louder ...and finds its only self-righteous recourse in destructive attention-getting sentinel events.
Pray for our entire world to accept the truth of the Bible, and the wisdom to know what direction and what peaceful measures it needs to begin to cleanse not so much our outer environment, but our inner being. Yes, that direction is Jesus ...yes, I said it outright, and it also came out right.  Just thought you wouldn't mind getting a small boost in the right direction.
And thanks for any prayers sent my way!!
(http://whatdowewanttobelieve.blogspot.com/2017/06/blog-post.html) ...Do we forget what we know ...or at one time claimed to have known??  (Did we forget how to laugh ...with kindness, not to injure?)

News Flash!!
Still no evidence that Russia influenced the election.
Mounting evidence that Wicca (your friendly neighborhood witches) are openly admitting they are trying to influence the next election.

LA Times actually quoted the Bible, the words of Jesus, for their empowerment of this summer solstice insanity ...but, what would we expect, but for them to quote Scripture with no insight into what Jesus was saying. Jesus was speaking to His disciples, of which the witches may think they are a sub-group of ...but, never in my understanding of the faith would I accept that. I am a Christian ...not a Christ-shun.

Weather Report: Summer began on June 21st ...in Michigan, and it ended on June 24th.

(Further clarification:  Matthew 21:22, states, "And all things, whatsoever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive, if you have faith." Now, Jesus was also similarly quoted in Matthew 18:19 and in John 14:13. In all of these places, Jesus was talking to His disciples, whom He chose to later empower after His resurrection and ascension. Jesus was not talking to everyone ...and certainly, I am abundantly glad I do not get everything I ask for.  And when Jesus said to His disciples that two should agree on earth ...I'd think it would 'have' to be two who'd agree, as one may be Judas. But, the verse from the Book of John says it most clearly to me, as He says that whatever we ask in His Name ...for a purpose, that He shall be glorified.)

I, in no way, feel that I have any extra authority to discern what the Bible says.

We all share the same authority of Whom we look to in the writings ...not us being the authority, but God.

It's sort of like the fine-tuning of a radio. We can have more than one station coming in at the same time, and we have to recognize which one we want to listen to ...and fine-tune, to eliminate interference.

But sometimes more than one station can be broadcasting the same thing, so our discernment may have to go further.
